Ein Top entsteht / A top arises

Als nächstes nähe ich die Stoffbahnen mit den Streifen zusammen. Dann umrande ich die Stoffbahnen mit den Streifen und der Mittelteil des Top ist soweit mal fertig. Sieht doch schon ganz hübsch aus. :-)

As the next step i sew the bands together with the stripes. Then i'll border the bands with the stripes and the piece in the middle should be ready by now. Well, this looks really nice. :-)

Blöcke verbinden / combining the blocks

Jetzt werden aus den gestreiften Stoff Streifen geschnitten. Mit
diesen Streifen verbinde ich die ersten und zweiten Blöcke zu großen
Stoffbahnen.

Now i can cut off rows from the striped fabric. With these stripes i can combine the 1st and the 2nd blocks together to long bands.

Die zweiten Blöcke / The second blocks

Für die zweiten Blöcke brauche ich noch blau/rote Quadrate, die ich dann mit den rot/gelben Quadraten zusammen nähe. Danach schneide ich aus den Fische-Stoff Quadrate. Fische und blau/rot/gelbe Quadrate zusammen ergeben dann den zweiten Block.

For the second blocks i still need blue/red squares, that i'll sew with the red/yellow ones. After then i'll cut squares from the fish-pattern-fabric. These fish-patterns and the blue/red/yellow squares together will be the second block.

Weiter geht es mit den nächsten Blöcken. Dazu zuerst Streifen
schneiden, zu Stoffbahnen zusammen nähen und dann wieder zerschneiden.

And so on with the next blocks. First cutting to stripes, then sewing to bands and finally cutting them again.

Die ersten Blöcke / The first blocks

Die Stoffbahnen wieder zerschneiden und dann die ersten Blöcke
zusammennähen. 

Blau und Orange dürfen jetzt eine Zeit lang ruhen. Und
ich auch. Gähn!

Die Stoffstreifen werden zu langen Bahnen zusammengenäht.
